Keyword: Office 365
Microsoft Office 365 is a suite consisting of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Exchange, and SharePoint, operated by Microsoft as a cloud service, in which no cost for either dedicated server or for ongoing services (backup, patches, updates etc.) are incurred on the user. Especially for small businesses Office 365 is a good choice.
Word. Excel, Notes, Power Point: The features are similar to the desktop suite, though with some limitations, such as editing of encrypted files being unavailable.
OneDrive Business: A cloud storage with a capacity of currently 1TB per user.
Exchange / Outlook: This service works smoothly on Windows PCs and tablets, Apple Macs, iPads, and the iPhone, and enables access to calendars and contacts. Some problems occurred on Android, with a Xiaomi smartphone.
SharePoint / webside / Team WebSides / Lync: Using as communication and collaboration tool for teams was easy. Web page functions are rather limited. Lync works fine.
Pricing: The license model based on user per month and allowed to react on different team sizes easily. There are various plans for business sizes and some included full, installed Office applications.
Conclusion: A good product for using with EPU and small companies. For private use the free version of Microsoft, Google or other vendors should be cheaper and provide all the necessary services for all.
